At Tumut Public School, our school uniform is a proud symbol of our community, unity, and commitment to excellence. Designed with comfort, durability, and style in mind, our uniform supports a positive learning environment while promoting equality among students. Each item reflects our school’s values and identity, helping students feel connected and confident throughout their day. We encourage all students to wear their uniform with pride as a vital part of our school culture.

Our uniforms are available for purchase at Wendellie on Wynyard, a clothing store conveniently located at 50 Wynyard Street, Tumut. For enquiries, please call Wendellie on 02 69 476 500.

Summer, Winter and sports uniform

Students wear the Summer uniform during Terms 1 and 4, and the Winter uniform in Terms 2 and 3. Every Friday, students wear their sports uniform, which consists of a royal blue polo shirt featuring a coloured stripe down the side to represent their House colour.

From Monday to Thursday, students are required to wear black enclosed shoes, while on Fridays, joggers are to be worn with the sports uniform.

Want to donate your old school uniforms?

We gratefully accept donations of second-hand uniforms at the Office. These items are reserved to support families in need and to provide students with an emergency change of clothing when required during the school day.

Sun safety at Tumut Public School

No Hat, Shade Play Policy

To keep all students safe from the sun, hats must be worn during all outdoor activities at Tumut Public School. Throughout the year, we operate a “No Hat, Shade Play” policy, which means that any student without a hat will be required to play and stay in the shaded areas.

We ask for your support in ensuring your child brings and wears their Tumut Public School hat each day. School hats are available for purchase from Wendellie on Wynyard, Tumut. Please note that only Tumut Public School hats are permitted as part of our uniform and sun safety guidelines.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and sun smart.

Sun safety for school sports and physical activities

At Tumut Public School, our permission forms for all school sports and physical activities include sport-specific mandatory statements to clearly outline the sun safety requirements. This ensures that both parents and students are fully informed about the necessary sun protection measures, such as wearing appropriate hats, applying sunscreen, and bringing sun-safe clothing.

We ask that families support these guidelines by providing the necessary items and encouraging students to practice sun safety during all outdoor activities.
